What is Mysore-Practice?

In Mysore style classes students will find and build up their individual practice (self-practice) or deepen their existing practice, supported by a teacher. The teacher will give you adjustments whenever they are needed and will adjust you in your asanas.

AYRF sets the focus on a traditional and dedicated practice. Primarily we understand Mysore style practice as an individualized practice. In order to prepare for certain asanas or as a  response to individual physical as well as psychological conditions we sometimes step off the strict traditional guidelines by f.ex. adapting the sequence or the execution of asanas. The main goal is to achieve a traditional but individualized practice.

What is Self-Practice?

In these classes students practice what they learned in mysore-classes, in harmony with themselves, Tristana (Bandhas, Drishtis, Ujjayi) and the group. The student can profit from the energy shared by the group and vice versa. Self-Pratice is the key to a steady and dynamic-meditative practice.

A team-member of AYRF will always be present and practice, too. You can ask for support in tricky asanas before class. Apart from that, there will be no talking: just practice and breathe.

"Practice, practice and all is coming" or "constant tripping wears away the stone".

To participate in this class you need to have an own mysore-practice first.
